The elder statesman in Philadelphia at the writing of the Constitution, Benjamin Franklin was a man who didn't often speak up during the proceedings, but when he did - and sometimes others would read what he had to say for him - everyone listened. We would be wise to do so today as well.

"Think what you do when you run in debt; you give to another power over your liberty." Mr. Franklin wrote this in one of the pamphlets he published yearly for 26 years called Poor Richard's Almanac.

I often wonder just how much liberty we've given over to others as we've run into $18 trillion of debt.

Many thanks to those who donated today and bought books. We continue to expand, the size of the mailing list this email goes out to is growing, your donations help push us forward, and books continue to get the word out. We've only just begun.
